As programs across the SEC plan to open the 2020 season in the middle of a pandemic, new rules, regulations and other changes are coming to game day atmosphere around stadiums. Arkansas released its details about how football gamedays will look in 2020 for Sam Pittman’s first season at the helm.
The Razorbacks will take on Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee and Ole Miss in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Arkansas made these changes after consultation with the Arkansas Department of Health
Some of the changes include:
- No tailgating, Hog Walk, or run through the A
- Fans must wear masks
- Abbreviated band performances; drums-only during game
- No cheerleaders on field
- Stadium capacity: 16-17K
- Season ticket holders get first priority seats
Other changes include contactless transactions, social distancing in restrooms, extensive cleaning and sanitation efforts including deep cleaning prior to games and disinfecting high frequency touchpoints throughout the event.
The season ticket buyers will be given tickets in these groups: Season ticket purchasers will be able to request either a 5-game, 3-game (LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss) or 2-game (Georgia, Alabama) season ticket plan. Next week, all season ticket holders will receive an email survey where they can submit their preference regarding available ticket packages.
