The University of Arkansas landed its 12th commitment for the class of 2019 Saturday.

Three-star OLB Zach Zimos pulled the trigger in favor of the Hogs over offers from Missouri, Texas Tech and Purdue, among others. The Richmond, Texas, native is ranked as the nation’s No. 39 overall OLB and the Lonestar State’s No. 73 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Zimos was previously committed to Cal before backing off his pledge on May 20. He’s been very active since that decommitment, visiting Arkansas twice. As a junior, Zimos racked up 58 tackles and four tackles for loss.

He became the Hogs’ first LB commitment in the class of 2019 for Chad Morris and company.
