On Sunday morning, Arkansas QB Cole Kelley was arrested in Fayetteville for suspected DWI.

The redshirt freshman quarterback played some in the Razorbacks’ 33-10 loss to LSU on Saturday, but apparently made his bad decision after returning home to Fayetteville.

After learning of the arrest of his backup quarterback, Arkansas coach Bret Bielema commented on the situation, according to an official statement from the coach:

“I was informed early this morning of an incident involving Cole Kelley. We are gathering all information from the proper authorities and will make a determination upon review of that information.”

What punishment Kelley receives remains to be seen, but it’s likely he’ll at least miss next weekend’s game against Mississippi State.

Now that Austin Allen is back in the mix at quarterback, the Hogs should be able to get by without Kelley, but there’s no doubt his absence will hurt the team.
