Some unfortunate news to share on Monday as a recent, in-state Arkansas signee has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies.

According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, Bryant, Ark., native Catrell Wallace was booked on Monday morning and charged with second-degree sexual assault and tampering. Both are listed as felony crimes by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.

Wallace originally committed to play for the Razorbacks under Chad Morris but following the coaching change to Sam Pittman, Wallace stuck with his choice and signed with Arkansas during the Early Signing Period. Wallace played his prep football for Bryant High School in Saline County.

247Sports Composite Rankings list Wallace as a three-star signee, the No. 6 overall prospect from Arkansas and the No. 43 outside linebacker prospect in the nation. The linebacker position was a priority position for the Razorbacks in the 2020 recruiting cycle as the team has been dealing with depth issues at the position in recent seasons.

Arkansas has yet to comment on news of Wallace’s arrest or his status with the football program moving forward. Wallace did not enroll early and was scheduled to arrive in Fayetteville this summer.
