It looked like Arkansas’ offense might be held in check all game long vs. Oregon. Through 5 innings, both teams were shut out and the game dwindling away.
Then, the 6th inning started with a bang for the Razorbacks. The first two runners were able to get on base to begin the inning, bringing Linnie Malkin to the plate.
Malkin responded with ice water in her veins. She drilled a tiebreaking home run that was a no-doubter way out of left field:

Malkin’s blast opened the floodgates for the Razorbacks. Kacie Hoffman followed with a big blast of her own to make it back-to-back home runs for Arkansas:

When it was all said and done, Arkansas had 6 runs and held on in the top of the 7th for the 6-2 win over Oregon.
With the win, the Razorbacks advance to the regional final on Sunday. Arkansas will face the winner of Saturday night’s Oregon vs. Wichita State game with two shots to advance out of the Fayetteville Regional.
