Sam Pittman comments on Rocket Sanders' absence at Alabama
Sam Pittman has missed Rocket Sanders for much of the season after the star running back was first injured against Western Carolina, but then missed Saturday’s game at Alabama. Sanders didn’t make the trip.
Pittman said after the loss to Alabama, Sanders went for more rehab this week and didn’t feel like his knee was 100%.
“I have no idea when he’s going to be back,” Pittman said.
Without Sanders, Arkansas had AJ Green lead the team in rushing with 6 carries for 44 yards, with a long run of 19 yards. KJ Jefferson also checked in with 14 carries for 26 yards.
Sanders has had an uneven season after he rushed for 1,443 yards last season. He still hasn’t passed the 100-yard mark this season, as he’s only played in 3 games: Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Western Carolina.
Sanders’ absence is just one element of ongoing struggles on offense for the Razorbacks, as they’ve also had trouble on the offensive line.
