Arkansas is in good position heading into halftime against LSU, leading the Tigers 13-10.
The Razorbacks are looking to get a signature win early in SEC play, while LSU is hoping to capitalize on the momentum from its big win over Mississippi State last weekend.
Heading into halftime, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman said the Razorbacks are playing their butts off, as he expected.
“We came here to win,” Pittman said. “That’s the plan.”
Arkansas has the chance to build its lead as the Razorbacks will get the ball out of the half. Needless to say, a touchdown early in the second half would be huge.
โIt was a hell of a half. Unfortunately they scored right there before half, but it doesnโt matter,” Pittman said. “We get the ball first second half. Weโve got to continue to fight. Thatโs who we are โ thatโs what Arkansas and our state is about. Weโve got to fight.โ
LSU head coach Brian Kelly is hoping to avoid an upset, but the Tigers will need to find an answer on defense to do so.
โWeโve got to shore up the passing game on both sides,” Kelly said on the radio broadcast. “Theyโre RPO-ing us to death. And Jayden has got to show the poise he showed on that last drive in the third and fourth quarters.โ
