Auburn DC Kevin Steele says redshirt freshman Nick Coe will start at DE
At this point in the season, all depth charts should be taken with a grain of salt.
That’s certainly the case at Auburn, where redshirt freshman DE Nick Coe was listed as the backup to Marlon Davidson on the depth chart.
Instead, defensive coordinator Kevin Steele said on Wednesday night that Coe will get to start when the Tigers kick off their season against Georgia Southern:
Auburn D coordinator Kevin Steele said Nick Coe will start on Saturday. He was listed as the backup to Marlon Davidson on the depth chart.

Coe, who redshirted last year, was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2016. He was the No. 13 overall strong-side defensive end in his class.
The Tigers take on Georgia Southern on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. Central time. The game can be seen on the SEC Network.
