Auburn added to its 2019 recruiting class on Wednesday when Nehemiah Pritchett announced he’s committed to the Tigers.

Pritchett, a 3-star prospect in the 2019 class from Jackson, Alabama, is the 16th commit for coach Gus Malzahn, who tweeted his trademark “War Eagle” four minutes after Pritchett made his announcement. Auburn is ranked No. 5 in the SEC and No. 13 in the country following this addition.

Pritchett is 6 foot, 172 pounds and had 16 offers, including Appalachian State, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska and Ole Miss. Pritchett is the No. 55 cornerback in the 2019 class and the No. 17 player in the state of Alabama, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is the fifth defensive back prospect to commit to Auburn’s recruiting class.

“I know where I want to be,” Pritchett posted in a note on Twitter. “And with that being said I would like to continue my academic and athletic career at Auburn University.”
