Auburn QB transfer Woody Barrett headed to community college

With Baylor transfer Jarrett Stidham as Auburn’s projected starter,ย veteran backup Sean White waitingย in the wings, and the young, athletic, Malik Willis as third string, the Auburn Tigers have one of the best crops of quarterbacks in the SEC.
It makes sense, then, that sophomore QBย Woody Barrett followed a recent SEC-wide trend and requestedย a transfer to find playing time.
On Sunday, he made his destination apparently official, posing for a photo with quarterbacks coach Micah Davis ofย Copiah-Lincoln Community College.ย Copiah-Lincoln is a smaller school Wesson, Mississippi, with an enrollmentย around 3,000 students.

Barrett is aย former 4-star prospect whoย was rated the nation’s No. 6 dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2016, according to the 247Sports Composite.
