Bo Nix honored for standout Week 11 performance
Bo Nix was recognized by the AFC on Wednesday following his standout performance in the 38-6 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday in a game that was originally projected to be nowhere near that close in the final score, named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
He is the first Broncos rookie quarterback to ever receive the honor.
The former Auburn QB was ace in that latest performance, completing 28 of his 33 passes for 307 yards with 4 touchdowns. Nix has been widely commended for his improvisation ability, but he truly had it all on display in this one through the air. He was sacked just one time during the affair by the Atlanta defense.
This marks one of many milestones for Nix, who was named the NFL’s offensive rookie of the month last month in October.
To this point in the season, the Nix has connected on 65.5 percent of his passes for 2,275 yards with 14 touchdowns and six interceptions en route to a 6-5 overall Broncos record.
Nix will look to continue solidifying his Rookie Of The Year campaign as he and the Broncos up against the Las Vegas Raiders on the road up next on the schedule. Denver and Las Vegas are set to kick off at 4:05 p.m. ET in Las Vegas.
The first rookie QB in franchise history to earn this honor.
