ESPN’s Jay Bilas knows the Auburn-Virginia game will likely be more entertaining than Michigan State-Texas Tech.

During his visit with Mike Greenberg on ESPN’s “Get Up,” Bilas was asked to break down the first of the two games, which features AU and UVA.

“Well, I think if Virginia can defend the three-point line, limit their turnovers against Auburn’s pressure and keep Auburn out of transition, they’ll be able to establish the tempo of the game,” Bilas said of his keys to the game. “If you look at that early, that could tell you how the whole 40 minutes goes.”

The ESPN analyst then broke down the Michigan State-Texas Tech matchup, and he was later asked to make his Final Four and national championship predictions. Bilas doesn’t have Auburn getting past UVA.

“I like Michigan State,” Bilas said of his prediction. “I think Michigan State and Virginia are going to play in the title game. They’ve played before, obviously not this group of players, but Michigan State’s rebounding was the difference in those earlier games.

“This is a different Virginia team though. They are really, really good. Whoever makes it is going to be a great final, but I think if we have Michigan State-Virginia that will be a great, great championship game on Monday night.”

This won’t be the first or the last time an analyst has predicted Auburn will lose. No one had the Tigers making it this far, and right now, they may be the hottest shooting team in the Final Four.

Auburn and Virginia tipoff from Minneapolis at 6:09 p.m. ET Saturday night.
