Nick Marshall’s upcoming season just got shorter, as the former Auburn quarterback has been suspended four games by the NFL for a violation of the NFL’s policy on PED use. While he played offense in college for Auburn, Marshall now plays cornerback for the New York Jets.

The NFL released the following statement in regards to Marshall’s suspension Friday:

Nick Marshall of the New York Jets has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2017 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.

Marshall is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games.

Marshall started his NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars but only last one season with the team. Marshall quickly caught on with New York but did not record any defensive statistics for the team in 2016.
