Hugh Freeze and Auburn are headed to a bowl after a dominant win over Arkansas on Saturday.
After the game, he spoke with SEC Network about the victory.
“I felt good, I really thought our week was good, we’ve won a couple SEC games in a row after a tough stretch,” Freeze said. “The way they responded every day to work and I think we’re kind of finding out who we are a little bit. Just so pleased with the effort today.”
Freeze reflected on how far Auburn has come since its early-season struggles.
“They remember what you do in November,” Freeze said, invoking a phrase from an Arkansas legend. “I think Frank Broyles said that and we’re standing here. I want our kids to compete and they have, and now we find ourselves bowl eligible, which I think is a step that was important to me and our team and our program in our rebuild. I think we’re getting better and looking forward to the next 2 games.”
Auburn improved to 6-4 with games remaining against New Mexico State and Alabama.
