Auburn escaped a late comeback bid from Iowa Thursday to move on to the Round of 32 Saturday. There, they are set to face off against No. 1-seed Houston.

Houston is a popular National Champion pick, with 20% of brackets picking the Cougars to cut down the nets in April. However, injury problems have plagued the Cougars in the past and postgame Thursday night head coach Kelvin Sampson admitted he was “concerned” about guards Marcus Sasser and Jamal Shead’s recent injuries.

However, both Shead and Sasser said Friday that they are playing Saturday night and that they are back to 100%. Obviously, this is significant news for the Tigers.

Auburn still has a bit of an advantage Saturday against the Cougars. The game is to be played in Birmingham, making it a semi-home game for Bruce Pearl’s squad. If they can find enough consistency from their guards, they have enough to at least push an uber-talented Houston squad.

The game is set for 7:10 ET and will be broadcast on TBS.
