The Auburn Tigers made their first-ever Final Four appearance in school history this year, but now they face a tough task.

They’ll be forced to rebuild on the fly as guards Jared Harper and Bryce Brown head off to the NBA Draft and F Chuma Okeke considers his NBA options and rehabs and ACL injury.

The Tigers will be players in the graduate transfer market this offseason, and according to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, they’re in the mix for USC grad transfer G Derryck Thornton:

Thornton started his college career at Duke before transferring to USC. In 2018-19, he appeared in 32 games, making 27 starts. He averaged 7.7 points, 4.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds per contest.

Auburn will compete with other top teams like Gonzaga and Texas Tech for Thornton’s services, but he could be a player who could help fill the hole left by Harper.
