Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham will have one last hurrah as an Auburn Tiger, as he’ll play in Friday’s Music City Bowl in Nashville against Purdue.

Then, he’ll be off to the NFL, as he’s already decided to forgo his senior season and enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

As you can see below, in a video shared on YouTube by Jason Caldwell, Stidham discusses his decision to enter the draft and why it was important to him to play in the bowl game:

“For me, personally, I just wanted to finish the season with the guys,” he said. “Obviously, some of my closest friends are on the team. The entire offense — we’ve grown so close over the past two years. I just wanted to help those guys and do everything I could to put them in a position to win.

“I’m just very excited for the opportunity. Obviously, I’m going to have a lot of work ahead of me, but it’s a very exciting time.”

The Music City Bowl kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on ESPN.
