Mark Emmert has been the president of the NCAA since 2010. In that time, you would think he would learn the names of a few big-time programs in every sport.

Yet, there he was on Monday night in New Orleans, handing out the NCAA Tournament trophy to the Kansas Jayhawks, a team he has ostensibly been investigating for multiple Level I infractions for the past few years.

And, when presenting the trophy to coach Bill Self, he still couldn’t get the name of the school right, calling them the “Kansas City” Jayhawks:

It was already bad optics to be presenting a title trophy to a coach you’ve charged with 5 Level I violations, but to mess up the school’s name on top of that?

That’s Mark Emmert, folks!
