Could a Dawg dynasty be brewing in Athens? A former Georgia quarterback certainly thinks so.

Aaron Murray isn’t only predicting No. 1 Georgia to defend its national title, but also to complete a 3-peat. The Georgia legend explained why he’s so bullish on the Bulldogs during a radio appearance on SiriusXM.

The dominant Georgia defense is the key reason why Murray is convinced of more national titles.

“I think Georgia wins this year, and I also think Georgia wins again next year,” Murray said. “You look at what they’re bringing back, that is a young defense, and that defense just held the No. 1 offense in the country to 13 points.”

Georgia hasn’t allowed over 22 points in any conference game this season. 6 times this season Georgia has given up 13 points or less, including 2 shutouts (Samford, Vanderbilt).

Linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson leads Georgia with 42 total tackles and 3 sacks. Defensive back Malaki Starks is second on Georgia with 40 total tackles and tied for the team lead in interceptions (2).

Georgia will aim to improve to 10-0 when they face host Mississippi State on Saturday (7 p.m. ET/ESPN). Georgia leads the all-time series 19-6 against Mississippi State, with victories in the last 3 meetings.
