The Purdue Boilermakers shocked the college football world Saturday night by upsetting No. 2 Ohio State 49-20.

The Buckeyes were predicted to run through the remaining Big Ten schedule and make it to the College Football Playoff, but now, the upset loss turns the projections on their head.

With the Buckeyes’ loss, it opens the door for two SEC teams to get back into the College Football Playoff picture. Ohio State’s blowout loss to Iowa in 2017 kept the Buckeyes out of the Playoff, and the loss to Purdue certainly could have the same effect.

It wasn’t like Ohio State turned the ball over a bunch and Purdue capitalized. Rather, the Boilermakers just dominated the Buckeyes. Purdue RB DJ Knox rushed for 128 yards and three TDs. Rondale Moore added 170 receiving yards and two TDs.

We’ll have to see how the AP Top 25 Poll looks Sunday.
