Jordan Addison was a breakout star for the Pitt Panthers last season, winning the Biletnikoff Award given annually to the nation’s top receiver.
Now, though, he’s part of a controversy at Pitt, as rumors swirl that he is exploring a transfer to USC in order to make millions of dollars in NIL money.
On Tuesday, Addison’s name officially appeared in the portal. Yes, it is May 3, but Addison filed the paperwork by the May 1 deadline. From there, school officials had 48 hours to officially list him:
Pittsburgh WR & Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison has officially entered the portal. In 2021 Addison had 1,593 receiving yds & 17 TDs on a Pitt-record 100 catches in 14 games. Led the Pitt with 1,834 all-purpose yards.@Espn_Jordan@PantherLairhttps://t.co/Qdnh1qbYW5

Coach Pat Narduzzi hasn’t been happy about this situation, reportedly alleging tampering from USC and coach Lincoln Riley.
There’s still a chance Addison could remain at Pitt, but the message is clear — pay up.
