Justin Fields goes down in pain after having ankle rolled; jogs off field after examination
The one thing Ohio State can’t afford as it marches toward the College Football Playoff is an injury to QB Justin Fields.
However, late in the fourth quarter against Penn State, Fields was sacked on 4th down and had his ankle rolled up on by a Penn State defender.
The stadium went almost silent as Fields stayed down in pain after this ugly ankle/leg injury:

Fortunately, the stadium was able to breathe a big sigh of relief after Fields stood up and jogged off the field under his own power:

The game ended before Ohio State got the ball back. Coach Ryan Day said he expects Fields to be fine, but we’ll see what the situation is as a huge game against Michigan looms large next weekend.
