Kirk Herbstreit always identifies the players, coaches, and teams that impress him the most after every week of college football action.

Week 7 was no exception and the analyst picked 7 players and 1 position group that caught his eye. There was representation from 4 conferences this week after a wild slate of games once again.

At the No. 1 spot, Herbstreit went with Penn State tight end Tyler Warren. Warren set a Big Ten tight end record by catching a whopping 17 passes against USC. The TE ended with 224 yards and 1 TD. The massive performance led to Warren receiving Big Ten and AP Player of the Week honors.

At No. 2, Herbstreit kept it in the B1G and went with Dillon Gabriel and the Oregon offensive line. Gabriel had his best game of the season, throwing for 341 yards and 2 TDs. Most importantly, the QB didn’t turn the ball over and the line didn’t allow a single sack.

At No. 3 and No. 4, Herbstreit went with a pair of defenders. Texas’ Anthony Hill Jr. and Iowa’s Aaron Graves got those spots respectively. Hill racked up 11 tackles, 2 sacks, and 3.5 tackles for loss. Graves collected 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, and a pass deflection.
