Oregon’s 2022 season got off to a rough start.

In Week 1, the Ducks lost 49-3 to Georgia, a familiar opponent for both head coach Dan Lanning and QB Bo Nix.

Since then, Oregon has won 6 games in a row, including a 45-30 win over then-No. 9 UCLA on Saturday. On his “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” ESPN’s Matt Barrie praised the recent turnaround from the Ducks.

“If you’re not paying attention to Oregon, I would suggest you do it now,” Barrie said. “I along with some other people, perhaps guilty of after what happened against Georgia, and they just got absolutely embarrassed, we kind of wrote them off a little bit and were like, ‘Maybe Oregon needs a year. Maybe Bo Nix hasn’t changed.’

“Bo had 5 touchdown passes yesterday. He is putting up some historic numbers in Oregon, the likes we haven’t seen since, oh, I don’t know, Marcus Mariota and Justin Herbert. Think about some of the quarterbacks that have been at Auburn. If you’re not paying attention to Oregon, start.”
