‘Time to retire the FPI’: CFB fans come together to torch latest computer-generated rankings

The ESPN College Football Index has some interesting rankings following the final week of the regular season.
The FPI has Ohio State at No. 1 despite a loss to Michigan in Ann Arbor. It also has Georgia No. 5 behind Penn State, Oklahoma No, 8 ahead of undefeated Florida State at No. 9 and Mizzou all the way down at No. 16.

That’s bad.
College football fans agree. They took to social media to torch the computer-generated rankings on Sunday morning:
ESPN’s FPI currently has Ohio State ranked #1 following their loss to Michigan. They also had Bama #1 following their home loss to Texas. I think it might be time to retire FPI as a reliable source of information.
