The bad news keeps coming for the Florida Gators this week, and this time, it involves a 2019 signee.
It has been rumored for a while now that 4-star ILB Diwun Black might not qualify academically to get into Florida, and now it appears that’s indeed the case.
As you can see below, Black took to Twitter on Monday night to announce that he’d have to go to junior college before heading to Florida:

Per the 247Sports composite, Black is the No. 9 inside linebacker in the class of 2019 and the No. 20 overall recruit from the state of Florida.
Whether or not he eventually finds his way back to Florida remains to be seen, but for now, it seems his career is taking a bit of a detour.
