After the success he’s had at Florida the past few seasons, coach Dan Mullen is a name that we’ve been hearing in NFL coaching rumors.
His name popped up in the Dallas Cowboys’ search last year, with the thought being that he could reunite with his former Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott.
Now, Mullen has been connected to the New York Jets and is involved in other coaching rumors. And, on Sunday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Mullen was open to joining the pro ranks:

“Dan Mullen, in the college ranks, is open to going to the pros, as is (Northwestern head coach) Pat Fitzgerald,” Schefter says.
Obviously, losing Mullen to the Jets or another NFL team would be a huge loss for the Gators. Jets coach Adam Gase is expected to be fired after the game on Sunday, so we’ll see what happens during the NFL’s coaching carousel season.
