Billy Napier is set to hire a coach who previously worked with him at Louisiana, according to a report from Adam Rittenberg of ESPN.

William Peagler is in second season as the Michigan State running backs coach, and will depart for Florida after the Peach Bowl.

Peagler was the director of quality control for the offense in 2019 at Colorado and has been coaching in college for the past 11 seasons. He has been on the same staff as offensive coordinator Jay Johnson 5 times (Michigan State, Colorado, Georgia, Minnesota, Louisiana).

Peagler went to Colorado from Louisiana (formerly UL-Lafayette), where he spent the 2018 season as the Ragin’ Cajuns’ director of player personnel and quality control coordinator, according to his Michigan State bio.
