Should one or more of the Southeastern Conference teams not be able to play come the fall, should the league push forward without them?

While we certainly hope it doesn’t come to that, Dan Mullen suggests he would support that decision.

During a recent interview with the SEC Network, the Florida coach expressed his belief that flexibility could be key when it comes to playing the upcoming college football season.

“I think we just have to be ready to be flexible, you know? We have a schedule that’s been set for right now,” Mullen said. “Our schedules get set so far in advance, you know, for the reasons but I think what everybody has to do is be ready to be flexible coming into this season. And, you know, hey, if we’re ready to play football in Florida or in a couple of states, well, maybe we look at resetting the schedule, playing the teams that we’re able to play, and get back out there and playing football.

“I think for the American psyche, football games being played would be a pretty good thing.”
