Dan Mullen reveals bizarre way Anthony Richardson suffered injury prior to South Carolina game

Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators are in a free fall, sitting at 4-5 on the year after an embarrassing loss at South Carolina.
QB Anthony Richardson didn’t play in the game after suffering a concussion against Georgia. But, apparently, that isn’t the reason Richardson didn’t appear against the Gamecocks.
Mullen revealed during his Monday press conference that Richardson suffered a new injury the day after being cleared for the concussion. Per Mullen, Richardson suffered a knee injury dancing in the team hotel:
Dan Mullen said #Gator QB Anthony Richardson hurt his knee dancing in the team hotel, a day after he was cleared for concussion. Said MRI is clear. Needless to say Mullen was not pleased with the news Friday night.

Fortunately, the MRI came back clear, but that’s not a good look for the talented young quarterback.
We’ll see if he is able to play in this weekend’s game against Samford or if Mullen holds him out again.
