Dan Mullen shredded by Florida fans following blowout loss to South Carolina

Dan Mullen and Florida entered Saturday’s game against South Carolina as heavy favorites to win on the road. Instead, the Gators have suffered a 3rd straight loss, a humbling 40-17 defeat at Williams-Brice Stadium.

The Gators’ skid started with a 49-42 loss at LSU, followed by a 34-7 rout at the hands of rival Georgia in the Cocktail Party that further ignited discontent among the fanbase about the job Mullen is doing compared to Kirby Smart with the Bulldogs.

And Saturday’s game against the Gamecocks, who struggled to beat Vanderbilt on Oct. 16 before getting torched at Texas A&M and saw FCS grad transfer Jason Brown start behind center, won’t do much to cool down the anger.

It ends a 3-game winning streak in the series for the Gators. It’s also their largest margin of defeat and the most points they’ve allowed to South Carolina in the 42 times the 2 programs have met on the gridiron. The Gamecocks also scored the most points they’ve scored this season against an FBS opponent.

Mullen, understandably, was ripped on social media during the latter stages of, and following, the latest Gators loss. Here’s a sampling of some of the reaction:
