It didn’t take Joshua Braun (Live Oak, Florida) long to decide his final college destination.

The talented in-state offensive tackle chose the Florida Gators, according to multiple reports. Braun was previously committed to Georgia; however, when Sam Pittman left for the Arkansas job, Braun took a step back and decommitted from the Bulldogs Wednesday. Georgia then hired new offensive line coach Matt Luke, but the Bulldogs couldn’t keep Braun in the fold.

Florida sent offensive line coach John Hevesy to visit Braun Monday night, and that changed things.

According to Zach Abolverdi, Braun will start practicing with the Gators Friday, as he will be an early enrollee.

The 6-foot-6, 335-pound lineman is rated a 4-star prospect and ranks as the nation’s No. 22 overall offensive tackle and the state of Florida’s No. 49 overall prospect for the class of 2020, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Florida’s weakest position in 2019 is the offensive line, and the Gators will get a big-time addition in Braun who is one of the nation’s top tackles.

Following Braun’s commitment, the Gators now have 23 commitments for the class of 2020.
