The Florida Gators have had a solid year as an athletics department, winning 6 conference championships over a variety of sports.
Now, AD Scott Stricklin has been honored for that great year, spanning from March 1, 2019, to Feb. 28, 2020.
As you can see below, Stricklin was named the AD of the Year by the Sports Business Journal at the Sports Business Awards:

“I can’t imagine a more deserving recipient of this award than Scott Stricklin,” said UF President Kent Fuchs in a release. “He is an exceptional athletic director who has guided UF’s student-athletes to new heights athletically and academically, significantly strengthened our athletic program and is proving remarkably adept at leading the Gators in overcoming all the difficult challenges of COVID.”
Can Stricklin win again next year? We’ll see if the football team can help his case by winning an SEC East title and potentially the SEC Championship Game this fall.
