Kendrick Calilao came into the 2021 baseball season as a starter for the Florida Gators. But, he has since been moved into a bench role.
After entering the game in the later innings on Tuesday, he was the goat (not the GOAT) before he was the hero.
Calilao struck out looking in a key spot after entering the game as a pinch hitter. But, in the bottom of the 10th inning, he made the most of a pitch, clearing the left-field wall and giving the Gators a 3-2 victory:

It was Calilao’s first home run of the season, and it couldn’t have come at a better time for the Gators. Florida is ranked No. 18 in the country, with Florida State entering the game at No. 24.
Florida improved to 22-11 on the season with the win, evening the season series against Florida State at 1-1.
