Todd Golden’s Florida team is reportedly seeing a third player enter the NCAA transfer portal. Center Jason Jitoboh is the latest portal entrant.

Jitoboh, a 6-11, 300-pound senior, played 84 games over 4 seasons at Florida. The NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver for 2020 allows Jitoboh to play a fifth season.

Jitoboh has primarily been a bench contributor. In his first 2 seasons, Jitoboh made 34 appearances, averaging just over 5 minutes per game. In the past 2 seasons, he logged 11 starts in 50 games played.

Jitoboh started the final 7 games for Florida after the Gators lost star big man Colin Castleton to a broken hand. In those 7 starts, Jitoboh averaged over 20 minutes of playing time per game. For the season, he averaged 11.5 minutes.

In March regular-season action, Jitoboh logged season highs against Mississippi State (8 points) and LSU (4 rebounds). Jitoboh’s career game was a 12-point, 7-rebound outing against Stony Brook in the 2021-22 season.

Following the completion of a 16-17 showing in Golden’s first season, the Gators have also seen Kowacie Reeves and Niels Lane enter the portal.
