Florida AD gives fans an idea of how loud the pumped-in crowd noise will be this season in The Swamp
Despite not having the ability to host a full stadium crowd to start the season, it appears The Swamp will still be an intimidating place to play this season.
Florida AD Scott Stricklin gave fans a preview of what they can expect when the Gators host South Carolina during the second weekend of the SEC season on Saturday, Sept. 3 when the Gamecocks travel to Gainesville.
While only around 17,000 fans — which is 20 percent capacity of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium — will be in attendance due to local restrictions on public gatherings, the pumped-in crowd noise Florida plans to use still makes for a loud scene in The Swamp.
Now, on top of the pumped-in crowd noise, add in another 17,000 screaming fans and you’ll have an idea of just how unfriendly The Swamp will continue to be for opposing teams this season.
