Bonham joined the Gators after playing his first 2 years at VMI. He earned SoCon All-Freshman honors in 2020-21, averaging 8.6 points per game. In 2021-22, he averaged 13.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4 assists per game as a sophomore starter in 29 games.
This past season, Bonham averaged 5.6 points per game with the Gators. On 3 occasions, he scored 20 points or more. Bonham played in 30 games for UF, making 13 starts.
Bonham is the 5th Gator player to enter the portal after a 16-17 season that ended with a loss in the NFL. Guard Kowacie Reeves, guard Niels Lane, forward C.J. Felder and center Jason Jitoboh have also entered the transfer portal.
