Florida making major changes on coaching staff, per report

Published:
Florida’s 40-17 loss to South Carolina on Saturday will apparently be the last game for both Gators defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and offensive line coach John Hevesy.
According to FOX Sports and The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman, Grantham and Hevesy have both been dismissed. The 2 have been closely connected to head coach Dan Mullen for years, with Grantham part of Mullen’s staff at Mississippi State in 2017 before making the move with him to Florida a year later, while Hevesy and Mullen have coached together for 2 decades.
Defensively, the Gators are 8th in the SEC in yards and points allowed per game, allowing 123 points during a 3-game losing streak. They managed just 82 yards on 26 carries against the Gamecocks.
Florida hosts FCS Samford on Nov. 13.
