Graham Mertz just broke a Florida record that was previously held by Tim Tebow. Mertz made it to 204 pass attempts without an interception, passing Tebow’s mark of 203 consecutive passes.

Mertz last threw an interception against Kentucky back in September. Since then, the QB has gone through 4 games without turning it over and did not turn it over in the first half against LSU tonight either.

So far, Mertz has just 2 INTs on the season. This has easily been his most efficient season as a passer. Through 34 games at Wisconsin, Mertz threw 26 INTs. Since landing in Gainesville, the QB has been much more decisive and has not made the same mistakes from previous seasons.

In 2023, Mertz has 2,409 passing yards with 17 TDs and 2 INTs. The QB has also completed 73.9% of his passes and has a passer rating of 159.0. Mertz has led the Gators to wins over Tennessee and South Carolina and are now facing off against the LSU Tigers, trailing by just 3 at the half.

Mertz has been perfect thus far, completing 13/15 passes for 136 yards and 1 TD.
