Jaden Rashada has reportedly made a decision about his future at Florida.

The quarterback recruit has requested to be released from his National Letter of Intent, according to Pete Nakos of On3 Sports. Rashada held a call with Scott Stricklin Wednesday, requesting the release. His request now heads to the NCAA.

Rumors have swirled in recent days about Rashada and whether he would continue with the Gators’ program. He reportedly was not enrolled by Tuesday, even though he was listed in the Florida student directory based on being accepted due to his academic merits. This is a distinction from being enrolled at the university. The cause for concern around Florida fans stems from other early enrollees moving in on campus.

About 2 months ago, Rashada flipped his commitment from Miami to Florida. When he committed, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound signal caller was ranked as the nation’s No. 6 overall quarterback and the No. 17 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He’s the No. 5 ranked player in the state of California.
