After two seasons at Minnesota, Curtis Dunlap Jr. is looking to continue his college football career elsewhere. The former 4-star recruit out of the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, has entered the NCAA transfer portal according to 247Sports.

Dunlap is from Jacksonville, Florida. If he wants to be closer to home, Dunlap has some familiarity with multiple SEC programs.

Dunlap committed to the Jim McElwain staff at Florida on July 18, 2017. After the coaching change at UF, Dunlap backed off his pledge on Dec. 5, 2017. Brad Davis, Dunlap’s primary UF recruiter, is now the offensive line coach at Arkansas.

Dunlap was the No. 8 offensive guard and No. 218 recruit overall nationally in the 2018 class on the 247Sports Composite and named an Under Armour All-American. Dan Mullen’s Mississippi State staff was among the 37 programs to offer Dunlap a scholarship. John Hevesy has been Mullen’s offensive line coach at both schools. Georgia, LSU, Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee also offered, according to his 247Sports recruiting profile.

At Minnesota, Dunlap appeared in 4 games in 2018 and redshirted. Last season, he started 12 games at right guard for the Gophers, missing one game due to injury.
