Mike Pouncey and Maurkice Pouncey had storied careers at Florida, helping the 2008 Gators to a BCS championship, but don’t expect to see that last name in orange and blue any time soon.

Jordan Pouncey, a cousin of the twin brothers, had some harsh words for the UF coaching staff when discussing his recruitment.

“I just don’t put a lot of trust into that coaching staff,” Pouncey told the Orlando Sentinel’s Chris Hays. “I have my own reasons.”

While one could call Jordan a legacy because of his relation to Mike and Maurkice, Hays notes that the younger Pouncey has never met his NFL cousins.

The three-star Winter Park (Fla.) athlete is rated the No. 717 overall recruit, No. 104 wide receiver and No. 97 Florida prospect by the 247Sports Composite. The Gators have nine returning wide receivers for 2017 and a commitment from four-star prospect Daquon Green.

Pouncey has 47 scholarship offers, with a current top four of Miami, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Texas. According to Pouncey’s recruiting profile, secondary coach Torrian Gray was Pouncey’s primary UF recruiter.
