Bryan Harsin and the Auburn Tigers have the unenviable task of trying to stop reigning champion Georgia on Saturday afternoon.

QB Stetson Bennett IV has made the leap from former walk-on to legitimate Heisman contender, and Harsin was asked about him this week.

During his press conference on Monday, Harsin compared Bennett to Kellen Moore, who he coached at Boise State (via AL.com):

“I’m impressed with him,” Harsin said of Bennett. “There’s more guys that are bigger and more athletic and all that. I was fortunate to coach a guy that wasn’t very athletic that won more games than any college quarterback ever. And they would say the same thing about him. I mean, the guy’s a winner.”

Moore was a star at Boise State, leading the Broncos to a lot of success and, as Harsin mentioned, winning more games than any other college quarterback.

Bennett now has a national title under his belt, which is something Moore never got to accomplish. We’ll see if Bennett can continue his storybook career on Saturday against Harsin’s Tigers.
