On paper, Alabama appears to have a significant edge in Saturday’s SEC Championship Game against Georgia.

The Crimson Tide are nearly two-touchdown favorites, and it’s the first time Georgia has been an underdog all season. Outside of special teams, most people don’t give Georgia much of an edge in this game, and there are plenty of projections about how Georgia could still make the College Football Playoff with a loss.

On top of the typically strong Alabama defense, QB Tua Tagovailoa is heavily favored to claim the Heisman Trophy by leading an offense that is averaging 49 points a game, which twice topped more than 60 and has scored at least 50 six other times.

Alabama holds a four-game winning streak in the series, and most of those losses for Georgia have been some of the most painful to endure, and re-live, as any in the last decade.

Still, the Bulldog players remain undaunted, and dismissed any notion of Georgia being intimidated by Alabama.

RB Elijah Holyfield had a quick answer to the question, “You’re asking if we’re intimidated by them? No.”
