One of Georgia’s top defenders has reportedly played his last game as a Bulldog.

According to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz, UGA junior defensive back Eric Stokes has declared for the NFL Draft and signed with an agent, ruling him out for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl game against Cincinnati. No statement of announcement has been made yet via Stokes’ Twitter account or Georgia communications.

The news follows some recent media recognition for the standout defensive back. Stokes was named a first-team All-American by CBS Sports. He was also voted first-team All-SEC by the Associated Press and second-team All-SEC by the conference coaches.

Stokes has started all nine games for the Bulldogs and has served as one of the team’s captains this year. He has 20 tackles this season, including 14 solo stops, and has a team-leading four interceptions. Stokes has taken two of those picks back for touchdowns, making him one of five FBS players this season to have a pair of pick-sixes. He is the third Bulldog all-time to return two interceptions for scores in a season (Jake Scott, Darryl Gamble).

The No. 9 Bulldogs (7-2 SEC) take on No. 8 Cincinnati (9-0, 6-0 American Athletic Conference) in Atlanta in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Jan. 1. ESPN will televise the game at noon ET.
