Georgia has made another addition to its secondary via the transfer portal, this time flipping a commitment from rival Florida.
Adrian Maddox, a transfer safety from UAB, announced his commitment to the Gators on Sunday. Just like in high school recruiting, commitments are non-binding for transfers. According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, Maddox signed with Georgia on Monday evening.
Former UAB safety Adrian Maddox has switched his transfer commitment to Georgia from Florida, per his agent @IanJohnsonAce. He signed with Georgia last night. He had 44 tackles, two forced fumbles and a 99-yard pick 6 this season at UAB.

Maddox has taken quite a journey to becoming a defensive back in the SEC. He was originally an unranked Class of 2022 recruit out of Conyers (Georgia) Heritage High School, about 50 miles from UGA campus in Athens.
Maddox began his college career in the FCS ranks at Alabama State. After 2 seasons, he transferred to UAB. With the Blazers, Maddox logged 44 tackles, 2 TFLs, 2 forced fumbles, 8 pass breakups, and 1 interception. The INT went for a 99-yard pick-6.
In addition to Florida and Georgia, Maddox also considered Arkansas and Louisville. Earlier Tuesday, the Bulldogs added starting Miami DB Jaden Harris out of the portal.
