Well, this is certainly a way to end Thursday for Georgia.

Five-star OLB Mekhail Sherman (Washington, D.C.) committed to Georgia over Ohio State, and it’s safe to say that Sherman is a massive part of UGA’s 2020 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-3, 234-pound LB boasted offers from every big-time program from around the nation, but settled on Georgia.

“Not because they are the best school, not because they have the most draft picks, I chose Georgia because I felt like it was the right fit for me,” Sherman told 247Sports.”I feel like if I am going to be successful as I want to be and I feel like that school is Georgia. I think this team can win national championships, I think this team can mold me into the player I am today and the player I can be in the future.”

Sherman is ranked as the nation’s No. 11 overall prospect and the No. 2 OLB, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Following Sherman’s commitment, Georgia has seven commitments for the class of 2020.
