One of Jake Fromm’s favorite targets won’t be back in Athens next season.

TE Isaac Nauta announced Friday that he will be declaring for the NFL Draft early and forgoing his senior season at Georgia. A former 5-star recruit, Nauta was a multi-year contributor on offense, particularly as a freshman (29 catches, 361 yards, 3 TD) and junior (30 catches, 430 yards, 3 TD). This past season, he was third on the Bulldogs in catches and receiving yards behind Riley Ridley and Mecole Hardman. UGA fans have known this could be Nauta’s final season with the Dawgs. As early as April, Nauta was being projected as a first-round draft pick.

In his note, below (via Twitter), Nauta thanks head coach Kirby Smart, offensive coordinator Jim Chaney and the rest of the coaching staff for helping him grow and develop during his three years in Athens.
