Georgia RB Brian Herrien is not often mentioned among the great backs for the Bulldogs, but if he keeps making catches like this, that may change.

Herrien on first down and 15 early in the second half rolled out of the backfield, and somehow made an unbelievable catch on a lofty pass from QB Jake Fromm for an 18-yard gain. The play was reviewed by officials, but held up as the play moved Georgia into Florida territory.

Herrien had just four carries for one yard by that point, but he’s made a splash in the passing game. He so far has four catches for 46 yards.

The Georgia offense bogged down after the eye-popping catch, and the Bulldogs had to settle for a short field goal to make it a 16-3 lead.

Georgia is controlling many areas of the game, including a more than two to one edge in time of possession, first downs are 14-5, and third down conversions are 9-for-14 for Georgia, compared with 0-for-4 for the Gators.
