On Friday, multiple reports indicated that departing Georgia QB Justin Fields had selected Ohio State as his transfer destination. Friday night, Fields made it official.

The first tweet by Fields since Nov. 19 reads “Jeremiah 29:11…,” with the image of an official statement attached to it. The statement shows the logos of both Georgia and Ohio State. It is addressed to “the college football community and, in particular, the wonderful UGA fans who’ve been supportive of me this past year.” Fields states he will not be doing any interviews, directing all questions to Ohio State Associate Sports Information Director Jerry Emig.

Fields entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal last month in between the SEC Championship Game and Georgia’s Jan. 1 appearance in the Sugar Bowl.
